Since 1995, the total amount of scholarships awarded by Women in Aviation International is now more than $16 million.  Scholarship awards are a major benefit of membership in Women in Aviation International.

Thanks to our local WAI Alamo City Chapter fundraising efforts and donations, we are able to continue offering local scholarships.

Thanks to the amazing donations from our sponsors and members last year, Women in Aviation Alamo City Chapter will award two $1,500 scholarship in 2026! This scholarship will be awarded to applicants interested in careers in aviation and aerospace or those who are already in the workforce and want to expand their career in/into aviation.  The 2026 scholarship program will begin in February 15, 2026 and run through May 1, 2026.

Applicants must be a member of Women in Aviation International and a local chapter member of Women In Aviation Alamo City. Applicants may apply for no more than two WAI Alamo City scholarships. Applicants must have previously volunteered at a WAI Alamo City event or be willing to commit volunteer time to future events in 2026. Applicants must be attending or have been accepted into a higher education, technical school, flight school, continuing education course or aviation related training program for 2026. All scholarship awards will be sent directly to the school or training program. All remainder scholarship funds due to withdrawal and/or drop status will be returned to WAI Alamo City Chapter.
